Quite often these audio files are loaded into external answering machines.
Technicians can do this on site however it does mean only third generation sound quality is available.
This is generally OK for some applications.

Many phones systems allow you to use a 'Mail Box' or 'Voice Services Card'. For this application we recommend delivery of the file to you in the appropriate sampling and Bit rate for the make and model of Telephone system.

An example of a Voicemail greeting is:

"You've reached the voicemail of Iva Lotton, unfortunately Iva Lotton is unable to take your call - please leave a message after the tone and Iva will return your call as soon as possible."

Quite often this is simply recorded by the person who has the phone on their desk.

However in many instances a professional voice or style of character, production is required.
